A federal grant of $50 million has been issued to O’Hare International Airport, money Chicago officials say will help fund a $200 million project for Terminal 3.

The grant, announced Monday, comes from the federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Chicago Department of Aviation officials called it “the largest such grant this year for any airport in America.”

The O’Hare grant is part of nearly $1 billion issued to 99 airports across the country, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation.
