Roscoe Village’s oyster shuckin’ and beer slingin’ annual party is back this Saturday, giving you a reason to (gasp) celebrate the end of summer! That’s right – with the dawning of autumn comes the social and gastronomic rage of oysters and dark(er) beer! Formerly known as the Guiness Oyster Fest, Landshark Lager Oyster Fest will feature fresh oysters, a smorgasbord of local fare, Landshark lager, and an exciting music lineup.
Check out Detroit indie rockers The Von Bondies at 6:45 before headliners Soul Asylum take the stage at 8. With no admission fee, I can’t think of a better (or cheaper) way to ring in the new season.
The fest (at 2000 W. Roscoe St.) runs from 10 am to 11 pm. A $5 donation is suggested until 5pm and $7 thereafter.
