Kane County judicial system officials are crediting the pandemic for technological advances in ensuring people show up for court dates. Zoom calls, emails and text messages have slashed failures to appear for court dates by 70%. These are changes that are likely here to stay, according to Chief Judge Clint Hull. He said these are advancements that probably would have taken another five to 10 years if the pandemic didn’t necessitate them. Next up?
