The Archdiocese of Chicago and Cook County officials buried 211 indigent residents on Oct. 28, 2021, at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Of the burials, 58 of them died of COVID-19. Cook County, through the medical examiner’s office, is entrusted with the final disposition for these residents.
