CHICAGO (AP) – Grain futures were mostly lower Wednesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade. Wheat for Sep. was 1.25 cents at $8.1875 a bushel; Sep. corn fell .50 cent at $5.9275 a bushel; Sep. oats was off .25 cent at $4.7825 a bushel; while Aug. soybeans lost 14.75 cents at 14.5550 a bushel. Beef and pork were higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Aug. live cattle was up .52 cent at $1.3602 a pound; Aug. feeder cattle rose .92 cent at $1.7927 a pound; Jul. lean hogs gained 2.73 cents at $1.1460 a pound.
