The circuit court judge, a 45-year-old woman, had left her key fob inside the car just before noon when it was taken, Chicago police said.

A Cook County Circuit Court judge’s car was stolen Saturday at a gas station in McKinley Park on the South Side.

The judge, a 45-year-old woman, had left her key fob inside the car and was pumping gas about noon when someone got inside and drove off from the Shell station at 35th Street and Ashland Avenue, according to Chicago police and a spokeswoman for the Office of the Chief Judge.

A weapon not used in the theft and the woman was not hurt, police said.

Area One detectives are investigating.
