Anonymous LLCs are really nothing new. If the term Anonymous LLC does not ring a bell, the term shell company probably does. Anonymous LLCs are shell companies in that they are companies that are inactive. Early on, shell companies were used predominantly for financial maneuvers, however more recently, they have found new life and purpose now that the internet has made privacy a rare commodity.
