CHICAGO — A 19-year-old man was injured in a shooting in Chicago’s New City neighborhood Saturday afternoon, according to police.
Police said the man was on the sidewalk in the 5400 block of South Normal Avenue at approximately 2:55 p.m. when he heard shots and felt pain.
The man sustained a gunshot wound to the hand and self-transported to St. Bernard Hospital where he was initially listed in good condition,
No one is in custody and the incident is under investigation.
