Trains were operating with extensive delays after a collision Friday morning.
Metra UP-NW trains were operating with delays after a train struck a vehicle Friday morning in the northwest suburbs.
The collision occurred about 5:30 a.m. in Mount Prospect, according to a Metra alert.
UP-NW trains were stopped in both directions until about 7:20 a.m., Metra said. Trains resumed operations with extensive delays.
Train #6033 departing Ogilvie Transportation Center at 6:30 AM and train #6188 departing Des Plaines at 7:26 AM did not operate, according to an alert.
