JOLIET, Ill. – In response to staff shortages, Joliet School District 86 will use an emergency day Friday, thus canceling all classes.
No school or remote learning will commence on Jan. 14.
The school day will be made up on May 31.
Schools will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 18, following the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
