Two teens died at the scene and two others were pronounced dead later after their car crashed and split in two on 89th Street.
Four teenagers died after their car crashed and split in half over the weekend in southwest suburban Hickory Hills.
Two others were injured in the accident, which happened around 2:25 p.m. Saturday on 89th Street at 86th Court, Hickory Hills police said in a statement.
All of the victims were teenagers in the same car, according to media reports. Video from the scene showed a sedan split in two near a damaged tree.
Two victims, Destiny M. Giera, 16, and Jemerrio X. Rieves, 15, died at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Two other teens died at the scene, officials said. Their names have not been released.
Hickory Hills police did not immediately reply to a request for comment.
