A former Algonquin trustee is back on the village board after being appointed by Village President Debby Sosine and unanimously approved by the board Tuesday. Brian Dianis served on the village board from 2005 through 2017, before losing his bid for reelection in the 2017 municipal election. He will fill out the remainder of the term for the seat vacated by Sosine when she became acting village president last year.
