CHICAGO (CBS)– The Rogers Park area residents are coming together to a support a beloved community member who is in the ICU with COVID-19.
Felipe Vallarta has been selling elotes, Mexican street corn, at the intersection of Rogers and Clark for many years. People there say he’s a hard worker and they miss seeing him.
Vallarta’s family created a GoFundMe page for medical expenses. The goal is to raise $25,000 and they have received nearly $6,000 so far.
