There will be 259 draft picks announced over the next three days in Cleveland.
Much of the focus on the 2021 NFL Draft will be directed firmly on the talented quarterbacks going in the first few picks, but the three-day event will last well beyond that with 259 selections over seven rounds.
The draft starts Thursday night with the Jaguars on the clock with the No. 1 overall pick. There’s little intrigue over what’ll happen there with Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence considered a lock to go first overall. Expect those first few minutes of the draft to be among the most boring.
The Jets, 49ers, Falcons and Bengals round out the top five in the first round. New York needs a new QB of the future after trading Sam Darnold to the Panthers, while San Francisco looks ready to find a long-term replacement for Jimmy Garoppolo after trading up from No. 12.
The Eagles have the most picks (11) in the draft after trading down from No. 6 to No. 12 in a deal with the Dolphins. The Seahawks have just three picks, the fewest of any team.
