Two people were wounded in a shooting Tuesday in Park Manor on the South Side.

The shooting happened about 5:50 p.m. in the first block of West 71st Street, according to Chicago police.

A 27-year-old woman was struck in the chest and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

Shortly after, a male showed up at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound to the body, police said. His condition was unknown.

Area One detectives are investigating.
