Chicago startup hub 1871 has agreed acquire yet another Illinois startup and technology organization as it expands its footprint throughout the state.
1871 is acquiring the intellectual property assets and programs of hub88, a technology hub for entrepreneurs and corporate innovators. Hub88 offers its members virtual resources but also has a physical co-working and event space at Nokia’s former campus in Naperville.
Terms of the deal, which is expected to close shortly, were not disclosed.
